Brisk: Machete (VFX Supervisor)

Visual Effects Supervisor / Animator:

We had an all star cast of animators, cinematographers, puppets, and sets. To top it all off, all of them are great friends from my years in the stop-mo world! This is a condensed version of the Machete movie in the tradition of the animated Brisk ads featuring Bruce Lee, Frank Sinatra, and Elvis.

I also did a lot of animation on this one. There were simply things that needed to be done so I did them. Some of the crew were surprised to find me on the set “Look – the VFX Supervisor is animating” – funny to me because it was only through proving myself as an animator that I was able to rise to the occasion of VFX supervision for animated projects. The animation director (Misha Klein – a real genius, don’t miss his work) was psyched that I just jumped in and did what needed to be done, and had the skills to pull it off.

Robert Rodriguez thought it was cool and tweeted it – much to the delight of us and our clients.
